Growing in Community

“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”

Proverbs 27:17 ESV

Getting involved in a group at Saco Bay Community Church is an intentional step toward deeper fellowship and spiritual growth. Our small groups meet once a week in the evenings, typically from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, between September and May. Groups range in size and format—from larger gatherings for discussion and study to smaller groups of 3–4 people designed for deeper connection and accountability.

Each semester offers opportunities to explore Scripture, grow in faith, and build lasting relationships.

Whether you're looking for 1-on-1 mentorship or a small circle of fellow believers, there’s a place for you.
We’d love to help you find the right fit—just reach out to start the conversation.

Small Groups

Our small groups meet weekly from September to May and are designed to foster community, spiritual growth, and deeper engagement with God’s Word. Most groups gather in the evenings for about 90 minutes and focus on sermon-based discussions or guided book studies. A recent example includes J.I. Packer’s Knowing God, which helped us explore the character of God in a rich and practical way. Small groups are a great way to connect, ask questions, and grow together in faith.

Smaller Study Groups

In addition to our small groups, we also encourage smaller gatherings of 3–4 people who meet regularly for deeper study, prayer, and accountability. These groups provide a more personal setting to explore theological topics, read through books together, and support one another in following Jesus. Whether you're working through a classic like Knowing God or digging into Scripture, these smaller circles are a meaningful way to grow in both knowledge and friendship.

1 on 1

For those seeking a more personal discipleship experience, one-on-one studies are a great option. These meetups allow for deeper conversation, personalized guidance, and spiritual encouragement. There are members of Saco Bay Community Church who would love to come alongside you—whether you’re new to the faith, exploring a particular topic, or simply looking for someone to walk with you through Scripture and prayer. If this kind of connection appeals to you, we’d be glad to help you get started.
